Summer really enjoyed her birthday cake!

Summer's birthday party was really fun! I love having all of our family so close that we can get them all together for special occasions. Summer loves having cousins close to her age that she can play with! I can't believe that she is 2 already! Time has gone by so quickly.

Summer got some fairy wings for her birthday and she was flying around in them the whole rest of the day!

Summer on the Piano

I feel like these last few weeks have gone by on a blur! I quickly posted those pictures of Ricky, so I would at least have something new on here, but now I can elaborate a little. Ricky can smile and laugh out loud now. It is so sweet! He's grown so fast already. Speaking of growing fast, Summer will be 2 in less than 3 weeks! We were at my mom's house yesterday and we caught Summer playing the piano. She wasn't sitting and pounding like she used to, but carefully and deliberately pressing the keys. It was so cute. She sat there and played for about 5 minutes. Then she tried to turn the page in the Hymn book and it fell off the piano. She thought she was going to be in trouble, so she got down.

We got all moved in to our new apartment! We love having the third bedroom. It makes it feel like we have way more space. We are loving the sunny weather and hope we can get out more often now. Bring on Summer!!

Ricky's Blessing

We had Ricky's blessing yesterday. It was a wonderful day and we loved being surrounded by so many of our family members. Ricky was so calm while Jarrel was giving him the blessing. The Bishop said that Ricky just laid there and stared at the microphone wondering what was going on. I feel so blessed.

We love having Ricky in our family! It is wonderful having a baby around again and I love seeing Summer's reactions to him. She is always helping and hugging him. She will tell anyone who asks that he is her baby. She kisses him and shares her toys with him, too. When Ricky was born, his face was all bruised and the blood vessels in his eyes ruptured, so they were all red. That has all healed now and he is such a handsome boy! It is interesting having a boy! It is different, but so fun to have one of each!

Not too much else is happening around here. Jarrel is finishing this semester this week. He only has one left! He will be graduating this Fall, so this is our last Summer vacation. While I will miss having him home a lot, I am excited to close this chapter of our lives. Many grand adventures await us out there!
